Kidney Walk June 2nd 10:30

Update: The walk on Sunday was a great success! Some pictures of participants and Academy of Learning helper Marcus handing out water to thirsty walkers.

On Sunday June 2nd (this weekend!) Academy of Learning Westshore will be volunteering for the Kidney Walk for the Kidney Foundation of Canada. This great organization is committed to achieving excellent kidney health, optimal quality of life, and a cure for kidney disease through research, education and advocacy. AOLCC will be supporting this event with a table on the route offering water and encouragement to participants.

How Can You Get Involved?

1. Volunteer: Join the AOLCC Team to pass out water to participants from a table right in front of the campus. The more the merrier and it should be lots of fun! (This will be from about 10:45am to 2-3:00pm. Come for any portion or stay the duration!)
2. Participate: Join in the walk itself! Registration on the day of the event will happen from 10-10:30am at Veteran’s Memorial Park on Aldwynd Road. $20.00 registration fee and 2.5K Walking route.
