We are very excited to share information about scholarships available to women through the Soroptimist Club Victoria Westshore. This outstanding and global service organization is geared towards supporting women through a variety of local and worldwide programs. These include inclusivity events for the elderly, advocacy on the issue of human trafficking, and scholarships!
The Live Your Dream Award are available to women who have been accepted to or enrolled in an education institution and are the primary means of support for their families. Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore is proud to provide three $1500 awards!
The Give Her Wings Award is available to women who have aged out of care in BC and are accepted or enrolled in an education institute. This award is for $1500.
Closing date for both awards is Dec. 1st, 2019. Please contact SI Victoria Westshore or Lisa at AOLCC for more information!
These awards can be applied to any certificate or diploma program including Office Administration, Medical Office Assistant, and Community Service Worker. Other options include Bookkeeping, Accounting and Payroll training, Graphic Designer and much more.
